Sharon resides in Barnegat township with her two Shiloh Shepherds, a rescued Northern Blue Tongue Skink and a rescued Parrot. She has numerous animal certifications, in addition to extensive animal experience spanning over the last 30 years in Ocean County, New Jersey.
Sharon has several years of experience as a professional pet sitter. She has also worked in the past as a Veterinary Technician, Animal Health Technician for the Ocean County Health Department, a certified Township Animal Control Officer, a certified Township Animal Cruelty Investigator, a state-licensed New Jersey Fish & Wildlife wildlife rehabilitator, a reptile keeper and she owned a pet cemetery business for many years.
She has served on the Ocean County CART (Emergency County Animal Response Team), served several Board of Director positions with non- profit animal organizations and also served on various township commissions. Sharon enjoys showing and handling her two Shiloh Shepherds in rare breed conformation dog shows, earning many championship titles and Best In Show wins with her dogs. She is certified in pet first aid.
Sharon is a Certified Interpretive Guide and a Volunteer Master Naturalist, receiving full scholarships from US Fish & Wildlife Service for the courses and certifications. She assists the US Fish & Wildlife Service at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge with various projects. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her two dogs, kayaking, bird watching, photography and long nature hikes in the woods.
